After an arduous workout in Toluca Lake, California, the 22-year-old actress came a cropper after the chain came off her bike.
Luckily, a member of the assembled paparazzi was only too happy to assist the damsel in distress and set about fixing it.

Vanessa was seen picking up her belongings after almost taking a tumble off her wheels.
She was clad in a pink hoodie, black leggings and cap, completing her look with a pair of shades and flip flops - perhaps not the most sensible footwear to cycle in.
Earlier she arrived to the gym, teaming her ensemble with a grey cardigan.

But a source close to the actress told Hollywoodlife.com: 'It isn’t a serious thing at all. She’s having fun hooking up with him but no official relationship has flourished yet.
